Live Weather Alerts Map

Active severe weather warnings issued by the US National Weather Service, drawn as alert polygons that refresh every two minutes.

About this live weather alerts map

Every active public weather alert from the US National Weather Service appears here as a shaded polygon: tornado warnings, severe thunderstorms, flash floods, winter storms, and more. Hovering an alert reveals its type, severity, and the affected counties.

The polygon geometry comes straight from the NWS alert feed, so it matches the official warning area rather than a simplified city marker. The map refreshes every two minutes while it stays open.
