Free Online GeoJSON Sector Draw Tool
Draw sector (pie slice) shapes on a map. Click center, start edge, then end edge. Export as GeoJSON. Free GIS sector/cone tool.
What is Sector?
PlotSector draws a pie-slice shaped area defined by a center point, a start angle direction, and an end angle direction. It creates a circular sector shape useful for representing fields of view, coverage areas, signal ranges, wind sectors, and directional analysis zones. The sector includes both the arc and the two radial lines.
How to draw
To draw a Sector, select Sector mode. Click 3 points: ① the center point of the sector, ② a point defining the start edge direction, ③ a point defining the end edge direction. The sector is drawn between these two angles from the center.
Common uses
Sectors are used for radar coverage analysis, cellular tower sector planning, wind direction analysis, field of view studies, lighthouse coverage mapping, and any pie-slice shaped geographic region.
GeoJSON output
Each geometry is converted to standard GeoJSON (RFC 7946) format with WGS84 coordinates. Copy or download the output for use in any GIS or mapping application.
All geometry types
This tool supports all 12 geometry types: Point, Polyline, Polygon, Freehand, StraightArrow, DiagonalArrow, DoveTailArrow, DoubleArrow, ClosedCurve, Sector, GatheringPlace, and PlotLineString.
