Live Natural Events Map

Open natural events from NASA's Earth Observatory Natural Event Tracker — wildfires, storms, volcanoes, floods — on a map that refreshes every 15 minutes.

About this live natural events map

NASA EONET curates ongoing natural events from satellite observations and agency reports: wildfires, severe storms, volcanic eruptions, floods, droughts, sea and lake ice. Each marker on the map is one event with its category, start date, and source link.

Events that involve movement over time — like a drifting ash plume — can include a track of past positions. The map draws the latest known position and the event stays visible until NASA closes it out.
