What is GatheringPlace?

GatheringPlace creates a triangular or trapezoidal assembly area symbol used in military and tactical mapping. It represents a designated gathering, staging, or assembly zone. The shape is defined by 2-3 control points that form a distinctive triangular gathering area with a flat base and converging sides.

How to draw

To draw a GatheringPlace, select GatheringPlace mode. Click 2-3 points on the map. The shape converges from a wide base to a narrow point or forms a triangular area. Double-click to finish.

Common uses

Gathering places are used in military tactical maps for assembly areas, staging zones, rendezvous points, unit concentration areas, and emergency response staging locations.

GeoJSON output

Each geometry is converted to standard GeoJSON (RFC 7946) format with WGS84 coordinates. Copy or download the output for use in any GIS or mapping application.
