Live Ocean Buoys Map

Ocean data buoys reporting wave height, swell, and wind in real time from the NOAA National Data Buoy Center network and partners.

About this live ocean buoys map

Each marker is a moored or drifting buoy reporting sea conditions: wave height and swell from the feed's label, plus wind readings where the buoy carries sensors. Click any buoy for its latest report.

Buoys are the ground truth for marine forecasts — surfers, sailors, and fishermen use these exact stations. Coverage concentrates along US coasts, with partners operating buoys worldwide.

Data is fetched in your browser through our own cached endpoint and rendered locally — no account, no install, nothing you do here is uploaded anywhere. Live feeds are approximate and must not be used for navigation or safety-of-life decisions.
