Chad: reported economic indicators
Chad has reported GDP of $21.47B in 2025, ranking 129 among 187 reporting economies for that year. This GDP series is measured in current US dollars; the value can change with output, prices and exchange rates.
These are the latest observations available for each indicator in the 1985–2025 snapshot. Different rows can refer to different years. For a comparison using a single common year, use the map and country rankings above.

Reading Chad's economic history
GDP per capita relates output to population; it does not measure individual wages. Use real GDP growth for annual changes in output, and PPP series when comparing price-adjusted purchasing power. Inflation and unemployment follow different definitions and should be read with their own units.
Figures for Chad use the World Bank World Development Indicators. Map colours and ranks always use exact-year observations, while this profile's summary deliberately labels the latest year per metric.

Sources & methodology
This explorer uses a frozen snapshot retrieved on 6 October 2026, covering 1985–2025. The observation year is shown beside each value. World Bank WDI metadata records an API revision of 13 July 2026; retrieval date and observation year describe different things.
World Bank World Development Indicators supplies the main country series. Taiwan is included through a separate patch, labelled National Statistics, Taiwan (DGBAS) in the delivered files. The accompanying reference describes an IMF WEO patch; that provenance discrepancy remains unresolved. The Census population cross-check mentioned in the metadata is not a bundled data series.
Countries and territories are joined by ISO3 code to Natural Earth 110m boundaries. The map contains 177 polygons, plus 47 markers for economies without a polygon at this scale. It is a statistical overview; the geometry is not intended for detailed boundary work.
Rankings compare only economies reporting the selected indicator in the selected year. A missing value stays missing, zero and negative values remain valid, and ties receive the same rank. The map uses a logarithmic colour scale for large positive monetary totals and headcounts, and a linear scale for rates and signed values. The legend states the scale in use. Different money units are kept separate.
2024 is the default comparison year. Reporting coverage varies by indicator and year, especially in 2025; estimates may be included. Central government debt has particularly limited coverage and ends in 2024. Aggregate figures are sums over reporting economies with their reporting count, rather than complete world totals. Percentages and per-capita values are never summed.
For a source that updates directly from the API, use the live World Bank GDP per capita map. This explorer uses a fixed historical snapshot so its charts, rankings, downloads and page summaries agree.
