About this dataset

U.S. Federal Communications Commission database of AM, FM, and TV broadcast stations with location, frequency, power, and coverage data.

The FCC Broadcast Station Database provides comprehensive data on all licensed AM, FM, and TV broadcast stations in the United States. It includes station location coordinates, frequency, effective radiated power, antenna height, and estimated coverage contours for broadcast mapping and spectrum analysis.

How to download

  1. 1 Open the FCC FM, AM, or TV Query page.
  2. 2 Enter search criteria (state, city, frequency, or call sign).
  3. 3 Review the station results with coordinates, power, and coverage data.
  4. 4 Export the results as CSV or KML and open in GeoDataViewer or QGIS.

Yes. The FCC database includes estimated 60 dBu (FM) and other standard coverage contours that can be mapped in GIS software.
