About this dataset

IUCN/UNEP global database of terrestrial and marine protected area boundaries.

The WDPA is the most comprehensive global database of protected areas. Managed by UNEP-WCMC and IUCN, it provides polygon/point data for over 260,000 protected areas including national parks, marine reserves, and UNESCO sites.
