About this dataset
ESA Sentinel-5P TROPOMI satellite measurements of NO2, SO2, CO, O3, and formaldehyde at 3.5-7km resolution.
ESA's Sentinel-5P satellite carrying the TROPOMI instrument provides global daily measurements of atmospheric trace gases at unprecedented spatial resolution (3.5-7km). Available pollutants include nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), ozone (O3), and formaldehyde (HCHO). Data is available from 2018 to present through Copernicus and Google Earth Engine.
How to download
- 1 Open the Copernicus Data Space portal.
- 2 Search for Sentinel-5P TROPOMI products.
- 3 Select pollutant (NO2, SO2, CO, O3, HCHO) and date range.
- 4 Download NetCDF files or access via Earth Engine for analysis.
FAQ
What pollutants does TROPOMI measure?
TROPOMI provides column measurements of NO2, SO2, CO, O3, HCHO (formaldehyde), CH4 (methane), and aerosol properties. The high spatial resolution (3.5-7km) enables city-scale monitoring.
Can I see real-time air pollution?
Sentinel-5P data is available within a few hours of acquisition. Near-real-time products are available through the Copernicus Data Space.
