Current Location, Time Zone and Weather
Use your browser's geolocation to center the map on your position and display local time, time zone, elevation and basic weather data.
Location is resolved locally from your device.
Weather and time zone come from a privacy-friendly public API.
How to use
- Allow your browser to access your location when prompted.
- The map will fly to your current position and place a marker.
- Read the latitude, longitude, time, time zone, elevation, temperature and wind speed in clearly separated lines in the tools panel.
Privacy
Your raw location is only used in your browser to display the map and query the external weather API. GeoDataViewer does not store or log your coordinates.
Data sources
Location is provided by your device and browser. Time zone, elevation and weather information are fetched from Open-Meteo, an open and privacy-focused weather API that does not require registration.
